There are a lot of sports in the modern world. Some of them appeared hundreds years ago, others are comparatively young. Such an exciting and beautiful sport as cheerleading has recently been presented in Russia. It includes both elements of dancing and aerobics. Besides, the knowledge of the game and clear strong voice is required.

Our cheerleading teams were formed in April 1996 as the only junior collective in Russia. An extensive program was developed, including songs, national dances, and also the program of football teams support. This program was successfully used on various sport grounds in Moscow.

Since the 27^th of June till the 6^th of July together with the combined team of CLAF our cheerleading team visited the USA. We were met by way of encore and the information on our concerts was on the 1^st page of the Pennsylvania newspapers. During this visit our group has gained a lot of experience from American colleagues.

In Moscow, cheerleaders participated in one of the sport events on the Dynamo stadium, dedicated to the ‘City Day’. Since that time our team is regularly invited to the leading Moscow stadiums.

Each session we prepare a brand new program. Thus, in winter 1997 there was prepared a program dedicated to the 850^th Anniversary of Moscow.

There were 48 concerts made within 3 months. Also, football games were visited for support. In the period of the 850^th Anniversary of Moscow celebration cheerleaders visited the central Moscow stadiums and were shown on TV.

During the summer session (5-24 of June, 1997) CLAF hosted an American delegation. Not only have been football players competing during the game, but also American and Russian cheerleaders. The stadium was full with funs.

In December 1997 we went to the USA again (this time to Florida), where the Russian team of cheerleaders participated in shows of Junior Cheerleaders Championship. The show has finished with an outstanding triumph and loud applause.

During the period of winter holidays on the sport base ‘Olympiets’ there was prepared a new exciting program which was afterwards shown on such events as: International athletics competitions, European Junior Championship in Sweden, etc.

From year to year the skills of our girls are growing. Much effort has been applied to achieve such results. Still, there is much to be developed further. This includes improvement of current skills, recruitment of new girls, creation of new sport clubs, etc.
