Robert Jordan (James Oliver Rigney) borned 1948 in Charlestone, South Carolina.

From 1968 till 1970 Jordan served in US army, in Vietnam. After the army Jordan continous his war career in Citadel, military college in South Carolina. There he got the science degree in nuclear physics. After finished the college Jordan also served in US Fleet as engeneer-nuclearist. Then, after the trauma he was sent to resignation. Yet with childhood he liked reading adventure and fantasy books, and, when he got a case to try as writer, Jordan risked...
Beginning from the popular field young fantasy writers - continous the Saga about Conan and writed several good novels, he desire created himself World. So borned the "Wheel of Time"

At now the populiarity of "Wheel of Time" so great, what at seems, compared with popularity such famousest book series by David Eddings, John Tolkien and Tad Williams. Seekwell continued to the Piramid principle: than far, then more. And no saw the end... However circulated the rumors, what Jordan wished writing ten books in Wheel of Time cycle. Well, waiting... "The Wheel weaved so, as wished the Wheel" - "I writed the novels, as I want".

Well, where the success by popularity of "Wheel of Time"? Noticed previously very nice and good Jordan's style of writing. The Jordan's World looked very well and realitive, with plenty details. And readed these books very enjoy. Beyond that, biggest plus of this World is his unicality: Dark One is, but Light One absent. So, the Creator, certainly, existed, but his not interested by World. Thus, fighting with Dark One only mens, and the Light is the light their own souls. Also this World is not ideal World (as Middle-Earth by Tolkien), and all mens ruled such ideas, as in our earth. Whitecloacks, for example, "bring the Light", but their light is the light of flamed tongs by hangman. Aes Sedai, servants All Universe, follow only their own interests. Only separated "lighty" race - Ogier, similar to ents-elves by Tolkien. But they are mostly near to mens, than Tolkien's elves.

The latest books of "Wheel of Time" (since "The Fires of Heaven") becomes more and more wrong, than previous. It is really bad, when the quality turned to quantity.
