  About the Author

Ursula Kroeber Le Guin borned in 21 october 1929 in Berkeley (California). Grew up in Berkeley. Daughter of Alfred Kroeber (anthropologist) and Theodora Covel Brown Kracaw Kroeber.

After ending the Radcliffe College she joined to Columbian University, where reached the magister degree by Roman phylology. In 1951 she married to historian Charles Le Guin. At now Ursula lived in Portland (Oregon st.). Has three children, two grandchildren.
Le Guin - one from the greatest grands of sf&f, awarded the plenty awards, including Hugo (1970, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1988) and Nebula (1969, 1974 (2), 1990).
