Andre (Alice Mary) Norton borned 17.2.1912. She is one from the eldest and famousest fantasy and SF&F writers. Her's the first book was "Forerunner", but it was published many times later after writing. She's never awarded by "Hugo" award (however several times was in nominate), but she's the Grand Master of Nebula (1983). The most famous fantasy world, writed by her, is "Witch World", included two large - cycles, "Estcarp" and "High Halleck". I prefer the "Halleck".
Last time some young writers are continued the "Witch World" cycle, and appeared same books, as "Witch World -2 (3,4)..". Published in same days, as "The Lord of the Rings" by J. R. R. Tolkien, the "Witch World" cardinally distinguished by him. And this is really good (I unliked the Worlds, whiches very similar with Middle - Earth).
